Police to record statement from former J-Kom DG today, says IGP


KUALA LUMPUR: Police will record the statement of former Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director-general Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff at Kajang police headquarters on Monday (Nov 20) over a viral video, allegedly of an indecent conversation.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the recording of the statement is expected to take place at 2pm.

"Officers from the Bukit Aman CID Special Investigation Unit will record his statement," he said when contacted.

He also said a statement from J-Kom assistant officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani will be recorded soon.

"We are also still investigating the identity of the mysterious 'Mr H'," he said, referring to the individual Mohammad Agus claimed had sabotaged his reputation.

It was previously reported that the viral video showed a man looking like Mohammad Agus having an indecent conversation with another man named "Wahab".

Selangor police had previously recorded Mohammad Agus's statement after he lodged a police report in Kajang on Friday (Nov 17).

In a press conference that same day, Mohammad Agus described the viral video as an internal conspiracy to sabotage his career and reputation.

He claimed that the video had been doctored by an individual he called “Mr H”, who wanted to frame him.
